Graduates who successfully pass the BOC examination are qualified to practice athletic training in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, high school, college/university, professional, corporate/industrial, sports medicine clinics, and/or other healthcare settings. Students who aspire to serve as an athletic trainer in the public school should consider completing requirements for teacher certification, a process typically requiring a fifth year of academic coursework.
