Lakeland's Nursing (RN) degree program prepares students to function effectively as beginning registered nurses in hospitals, nursing homes and other health agencies. The program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)* and approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Upon Program completion, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX examination which leads to state licensure and registration as an RN. Fingerprinting and a background check will be done prior to program completion. Any student who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor related to substance abuse, abusing or causing harm to a client, or crime involving moral turpitude, may be ineligible to participate in mandatory clinical coursework and/or may be denied licensure by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
