Floral Design from Kishwaukee College is a Campus Associate Horticulture degree that prepares you for a Agriculture career. The Program The Floral Design curriculum provides students with the option of a one-year certifcate (20.5 credits) or a two-year AAS degree (68 credits). The certifcate program concentrates primarily on course work in the foral design area while the AAS degree requires general education classes, general ornamental horticulture classes in addition to the general foral design classes. Floral students are also encouraged to participate in the Student Floral Design Club which is part of Student American Institute of Floral Designers (SAIFD). Kishwaukee College is one of only twelve active SAIFD Chapters in the United States. This club hosts industry guest lecturers and helps promote the use of fowers/plants campus-wide. The Floral Club culminates each year with a trip to the National AIFD Symposium and Student Design Competition. Each year, the symposium is held in a major U.S. city.
