Program Information The Biology Department at Kishwaukee College provides students who are planning to transfer to a four-year college or university with a solid foundation for the first two years of college. For most of our students, our courses provide options in fulfilling General Education Life Science requirements. When completing these requirements, our students can choose from one of four options ? Environmental Biology, General Biology, Animal Ecology and Human Biology -- each of which have available laboratory course work. Three courses, Organismal Diversity, Principles of Biology I and Principles of Biology II are suggested for majors to complete prior to transfer to a four-year college or university. Principles of Biology I and II also fulfill requirements for some health care professional programs to a four-year college or university. Both Anatomy and Physiology and Microbiology are offered as service courses, supporting health career programs such as nursing and radiology.
