It has two full-time and six part-time faculty presenting students with a variety of backgrounds, interests, and teaching strengths. Three of our faculty members have Ph.D. degrees and most have contributed to the discipline by publishing or presenting original research. The History department strives to educate students to understand and appreciate the human experience, think critically and communicate effectively. Over the past 20 years, the History Department has won more teaching awards than any department on campus.
