Our Curriculum The School of Journalism and Mass Communications offers coursework in gathering, interpreting and communicating information for mass and specialized audiences. The curriculum is a mixture of media theory and lab courses in three professional areas: Advertising Journalism and Digital Media Public Relations Obtaining a Bachelors Degree JMC students have the option of completing College of Arts and Sciences curriculum requirements for either the Bachelor of Science degree of the Bachelor of Arts degree. The two degrees are identical except for the math, science, and foreign language requirements. We require 65 hours inside the College of Arts and Sciences, with 87 hours being required outside the School of Journalism.
