Professional Accountancy from Ithaca College is a Campus Master Accounting and Finance degree that prepares you for a Accounting career. Upon completion of Ithaca's intensive one-year curriculum, our graduates are well prepared to provide auditing, consulting, and income tax services to nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals. Candidates in the M.B.A. in professional accountancy program complete eight core courses to gain a thorough grounding in advanced concepts of business management and leadership. In addition, our students receive training in the theory and application of financial accounting and reporting, managerial and cost accounting, taxation, auditing, and business law principles. The program is registered with the New York State Education Department to enable graduates to meet the educational requirements necessary to take the certified public accounting exam in New York, which will be mandatory as of August 2009.
