Instruction focuses on woody, ornamental, and herbaceous plant materials; turfgrass and irrigation management; plant propagation; landscape design, installation and maintenance; cultural practices; greenhouse and nursery practices; and grounds equipment operation and maintenance. Will I be able to do an internship? Students in this program are required to complete two internship experiences with employers in the job of their choice within the green industry. There is a partnership between the student, the college, and the employer to ensure that learning objectives written by the students are met. Internship opportunities have included greenhouse/nursery, golf course maintenance, landscape installation, landscape maintenance, hardscape installation (pavers/block walls), and lawn maintenance.
