Students graduate from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with a high level of technical proficiency and valuable hands-on experience. Graduates typically work as the following types of engineers: chief, design, development, experimental, instrumentation, project and test. They are also involved in product design and prototyping and are well-prepared for leadership positions. The program has many opportunities for students to do innovative hands-on work such as independent study, internship, cooperative education, and undergraduate research. Program Education Objectives Graduates of our Electrical Engineering undergraduate program will succeed in industry and/or post-graduate education by: Providing practical solutions to problems by applying the knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, mathematics, and science, and by utilizing industry standard tools and equipment. Designing and analyzing electrical and electronic systems. Exhibiting strong professional attributes, which include ethical behavior in the workplace, understanding of societal responsibility, and engagement in continuing professional development.
