The fourth year is spent in the clinical laboratory at the IU Medical Center. Selection of the fourthyear students will be made by the faculty of the clinical laboratory science program at IUPUI. Upon graduation, students are eligible to apply for examination for certification by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Persons with the B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science find job opportunities in hospitals, clinics, research institutes, industry, and physicians' offices. Satisfactorily complete 90 credit hours, including general education requirements and program prerequisites. Attain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better and a science grade point average of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
