Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Science in Safety, our graduates will have demonstrated the ability to diagnose workplace safety and health exposures with the technological competency and prescience of professionals, advocate for effective loss prevention and control programs to all stakeholders within an organization, and function as contributing members of a professional organization, through a commitment to ethical service and continued professional growth. Our graduates are also successful in attaining professional certification. Professional certification in safety practice is associated with advancement and salary increases. While there are more than 200 credentials and certifications available in various aspects of safety, health and environmental practice, only about a dozen of these are nationally accredited.
