The B.A. serves students who intend to graduate with a B.A. in biology, certify to teach in public schools, satisfy the admission requirement for health related professional schools, emphasize ecology or natural history, or develop a variety of laboratory skills. The B.A. in Biology requires significant exposure to concepts in math and the physical sciences and broad exposure to disciplines outside of the biological sciences as well as to disciplines within the biological sciences while providing a large number of electives.
