A graduate of the Electrical Occupations program should be able to: Demonstrate technical skills that meet quality work standards and safety in the field of electricity. Demonstrate knowledge of electrical theory and apply this knowledge in the construction and operation of basic electrical systems. Show proper care and use of electrical tools and materials and be able to requisition these items from a supplier or stockroom. With the use of the National Electrical Code, read and draw basic blueprints for electrical installations. Develop plans from communications with others. Demonstrate working knowledge of electrical construction procedures in residential and industrial installations at an entry-level basis. Troubleshoot electrical circuits with the use of metering devices and electrical diagrams. Demonstrate knowledge needed to install different types of electrical conduit at an entry-level status. Demonstrate knowledge in basic motor control for single- and three-phase circuits. Demonstrate knowledge in the basic repair of single- and three-phase motors.
