Animal Science from Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center is a Campus Certificate Animal Science degree that prepares you for a Agriculture career. Animal Science is a 3-year program of study and activities to provide training for entry-level positions in an animal facility or clinic. Sudents have the opportunity to learn basic handling and technical skills on models as well as gain practical skills while caring for classroom animals. Students study anatomy, physiology, nutrition, reproduction, and genetics of both small and large domesticated animals . Students learn medical terminology as well as basic health care and office procedure skills. A variety of occupational opportunities are available with further training after graduation. Students enrolled int he Animal Science program have the opportunity to be involved in a very active student orgranization known as FFA.
