Course content includes: refrigeration theory, heat transfer systems, system design and electrical theory and application. The lecture courses are reinforced by nine hours per week of hands-on training in our state-of-the-art laboratories. This combination of lecture and hands-on work provides the student with a unique educational experience that will provide the training necessary to successfully enter the workforce. Statement Of Purpose The Heating and Refrigeration Technical Services Department at Hudson Valley Community College is dedicated to the purpose of education and preparing students for entry into the heating, ventilation and air conditioning profession and to provide continuing education for those employees already in the field.
