Human Service Technology - Houston Community College System

Human Service Technology from Houston Community College System is a Campus Associate Human Science degree that prepares you for a Human Services career. The Human Service Technology Program is designed for students interested in the broad field of human services. This degree will equip students for employment as technicians in a wide range of human service facilities offering services to varied populations. Lectures place a strong emphasis on ethics and multiculturalism. Awards in this program are approved by the Council for Standards in Human Services Education, the Department of State Health Services, Substance Abuse Services, and the National Association for Activities Directing. Students will participate in clinical experiences in various affiliated hospitals and human service agencies in the area. Currently there are over 65 affiliates. Students are required to purchase liability insurance through the College blanket policy before beginning practicum rotations.
