Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate from Houston Community College System is a Campus Certificate Medical Emergency degree that prepares you for a Healthcare career. The two-year Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program is designed to prepare individuals as competent, entry-level pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services Practitioners. The program is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP). Successful program graduates are awarded a certificate of completion which enables them to qualify for licensure as an EMT-Paramedic with the Texas Department of State Health Services. Students completing this course of study are eligible to take an examination for certification as an EMT-Paramedic with the Texas Department of State Health Services and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians .
