Provide basic life support for emergencies including, but not limited to, trauma, cardiac, and other medical emergencies. Apply ethical and legal concepts to the practice of the EMT-Paramedic. Promote health and wellness that facilitate positive growth and development. Describe the considerations that should be given to using escorts, adverse environmental conditions, using lights and siren, proceeding through intersections, and parking at an emergency scene. Describe the problems that a paramedic might encounter in a hostile situation and the techniques used to manage the situation. Demonstrate the use of protective equipment appropriate to the environment and scene. Meet the requirements and preparation to be eligible to apply and sit for the EMT-Paramedic licensure exam administered by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
