Program Description As a Nursing Assistant program student, you attend classes 5 to 30 hours per week for 6-8 weeks. You receive classroom and laboratory instruction and supervised clinical practice in local health care institutions. Classes are offered several times yearly at the Appleton and Oshkosh campuses and Chilton, Clintonville and Waupaca Regional Centers. Your classes are scheduled for day, evening and/or weekend hours. The program includes content required for state and federal nursing assistant-home health aide guidelines and qualifies you to apply for the certification exam at the end of the course. Program Outcomes Placement on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry. Provides safe care to a diverse client population and meets physical and psychosocial client needs.
