Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to individual or group business situations including the following elements: prospecting; pre-approach; approach; questioning/needs assessment; presentation techniques; handling objections; closing; customer follow-up; routing, scheduling and budgeting; and use of technology in single and group sales situations. Understand and apply the following total quality concepts: quality theorists; tools of quality management; and team development and interaction. Apply the principles of customer service in both design and practice. Design, query and create usable reports from database software for marketing applications, and be able to identify, access and retrieve usable marketing information from third party database sources. Design, conduct and tabulate a market research study, analyze the tabulated results, and make recommendations based on that analysis. Demonstrate a knowledge of basic business accounting principles. Demonstrate and communicate, in both written and oral fashion, effectively in a business situation.
