The program's technical studies provide you with both academic and practical hands-on coursework in such areas as introduction to criminal justice, traffic theory & law , juvenile law, criminal law , constitutional law, communication skills, crime prevention, report writing, forensic applications, employment standards, policing issues, terrorism & emergency planning, policing strategies, and criminal investigation. Program Outcomes Graduates with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Criminal Justice , who graduate from the Wis. DOJ College Certification Track, are considered "certifiable" for employment for a period of two years after graduation. If a graduate is not employed by a Wis. law enforcement agency within two years, he or she may request an extension from the Dept. of Justice. Graduates with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Criminal Justice (Non-DOJ Track) will not have standing with the Wis.
