Program Description In the AMS program, you will spend four semesters in an educational setting learning electronics, computers, control systems, programming, robots, fluid power, sensors, PLC's, and vision systems, and demonstrate the ability to integrate these devices together. In addition, you will learn to control these systems through hardware and software, and track vital daily information. You may begin in the winter, summer or fall semester during both daytime and evening hours. Program Outcomes Students in the AMS program will learn many of the skill sets needed when working in the automation field, including electronics, fluid power (hydraulics and pneumatics), PLC's, computer software, computer hardware, computer programming, blueprint reading, motors, drives, industrial electronics, industrial devices, sensors, robotics, instrumentation fundamentals, electrical power systems, mechanical components, automation software, and the most important skill of integrating and combining all these skills into an automated system.
