Students will have the opportunity to gain managerial skills in production, marketing and financial management of a farm or ranch business. The courses offered in the program will cover crop/weed and soil science, animal and range science, agricultural mechanics and agricultural economics as these apply to management of farm/ranch operational units. Students are expected to enroll in the Cooperative Education Internship during their first summer after completing at least 16 credits the previous academic year. The internship is a practical on-site supervised occupational experience, which may be carried out on the home farm/ranch or may be accomplished on another approved production operational unit.
