The Anthropology Program at Florida Gulf Coast University prioritizes learning through experiences within and beyond the classroom. The degree requires a total of 120 credit hours. During the first 60 credit hours, students complete lower division and general education requirements. The balance of program occurs in the context of core courses in the discipline, theory and research courses, topic and area courses and internship or study abroad experiences. Anthropology students are required to take 8 credit hours of appropriate college-level courses in foreign language and they will experience and reflect on life and language through cross-cultural immersion.
