Graduates will be able to articulate the importance of ethical behavior in their professional and personal lives. 6. Graduates will be able to communicate competently about Oriental medicine with patients and other healthcare professionals. 7. Graduates will be knowledgeable of the principles of practice management to include applicable federal and state laws and local ordinances. Evaluation of Educational Objectives Educational objectives for the Florida College of Integrative Medicine (FCIM) focuses on proficiency outcomes related to the practice of Oriental medicine. Feedback from various evaluation processes at every level of the program provides an effective measure of student competency. Specific evaluation activities are: 1. Verbal interaction with instructors and clinic supervisors. Tests and examinations given by instructors to assess specific knowledge. 2. Review of course grades by faculty and the Academic Dean and Assistant Academic Dean. 3. Verbal and skills evaluation during the various levels of clinical internship. Midterm evaluation by the Assistant Academic Dean and a final review by the clinical supervising physicians. 4. Students at the end of all courses of instruction complete evaluations for classes, instructors and clinic supervisors. 5. Periodic evaluations circulated by the Director of Student Services to the various constituencies of the College. 6. Random surveys by clinic patients, graduates and others associated with FCIM. 7. The Committee for Institutional Effectiveness holds meetings throughout the semester to evaluate the FCIM program, policies and processes. 8. Oversight by Board of Directors. 9.
