Course Information: The Paramedic Program is approved by the Florida Department of Education and the Florida Department of Health ? Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. It is organized to provide the student with knowledge about the acute, critical differences in physiology, pathophysiology and clinical signs and symptoms pertaining to the pre-hospital medical care of the infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient. The student will acquire clinical and field experience, as well as the advanced skills needed to provide emergency medical care to these patients. The program is taught according to the 1998 edition of the U.S. DOT National Standard Paramedic Curriculum.
