Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University is a Campus Bachelor Registered Nurse degree that prepares you for a Nursing career. EMU nursing grads are generalists who function in a variety of settings with a focus on individuals, families or groups of clients. Teaching faculty provide students with knowledge as well as compassion and empathy. Approved by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, EMU's respected nursing program is known for producing more than 1,200 nurses with marketable skills and caring hearts. More than 90 percent of EMU's nursing graduates are working in a field related to their major six to 12 months after graduation. Study Options Traditional Nursing Major: Any student admitted to EMU may declare a nursing major, which requires a strong background in the natural sciences, mathematics, and the social sciences. RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing: Registered nurses wanting to earn their BSN can select from the traditional program (day classes) and the Adult Degree Completion Program (evening program), designed for working professionals. The ADCP nursing program is offered at the main Harrisonburg campus and at EMU's Lancaster site. Accelerated Program for LPNs: The nursing curriculum can be accelerated for LPNs who have work experience.
