Health Promotion from Eastern Kentucky University is a Campus Master Health Science degree that prepares you for a Healthcare career. The Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion offers a M.S. in Health Promotion and an Ed.D. with a specialization in Health Promotion. Both the Ed.D. and the M.S. programs have a required core of classes and electives. In the Ed.D., the student may have an emphasis in specific areas of health promotion. The interdisciplinary nature of the program provides students with opportunities for coursework in health promotion, epidemiology, occupational/environmental health, sociology, behavioral science, nutrition, communication, social work, aging, and policy studies. Normally, graduate classes are small and permit discussion groups with individual attention. The Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion places the highest possible value on each individual student and his/her needs.
