Program Description Mechatronics is about today's world. It's where electronics, computers and mechanics converge to bring us the automated devices we use in our every day lives, both in the home and at work. Training will prepare students to work in advanced manufacturing. With hands-on training, students will learn specialized skills in electronics, instrumentation, programmable logic controls, computer numeric controls, microprocessors, animation and robotics. The college expects a high demand for the program not only from new students, but also from people who are already employed in a manufacturing facility. Courses will be offered both day and evening, and in a variety of approaches: self-paced, computer-assisted, handson labs, and one-on-one with instructors.
