Students will be exposed to a variety to education careers and have the opportunity to explore a variety of roles on both the instructional and administrative level. Experiences will reflect all levels of education from pre-school through graduate school. Settings and private education arenas are anticipated. Program Objectives: 1. Students will begin career explorations and gain indepth knowledge of the current educational system. 2. Students will work with instructional personnel on the pre-school, elementary, middle and high school level. 3. Students will work with instructional personnel in a private and/or public post-secondary and graduate institution. 4. Students will work with instructional personnel responsible for the instruction of non-traditional populations, e.g., the physically, mentally and academically challenged. 5. Students will work with administrative and support personnel responsible for the execution of instruction from pre-school to graduate level education. For example: support personnel school boards buildings & grounds State Education Department transportation Board of Regents principals superintendents 6. Students will be able to identify and articulate the legal and political entities that influence education in the community, state, national and international levels. 7. Students will be able to identify and articulate the economic forces that impact education on the community, state, national and international levels in public and private educational institutions.
