The Program The Engineering Drafting and Design program provides graduates with skills and knowledge in the fundamentals of drawing, design concepts, geometric dimensioning, Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Solid modeling, Finite Element Analysis simulations 3 dimensional printing and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM). Students spend a significant amount of time in the machine shop and metrology lab gaining practical hands on manufacturing skills to help them understand the realities of manufacturing. They are taught to use the coordinate measuring machine to verify that the parts they make are of a usable quality.
