Program Format: Campus Program Level: Associate

Agriculture from Dordt College is a Campus Associate Agribusiness degree that prepares you for a Agriculture career. Agriculture is among the top enrollment programs at Dordt College . The reason: dedicated faculty, excellent labs and research facilities, and a wide range of programs to choose from. Dordt's ag majors can take their choice of seven different emphases within the four year degree . A two-year associate degree program is also offered, as well as a pre-veterinary program of study. You can be sure that when you leave Dordt you will have developed the expertise to work in many of today's agriculture-related occupations. You will be challenged to tackle important issues in agriculture from a Christian point of view, including stewardship, agricultural policy, sustainability, soil quality, environmental health, rural community vitality, and animal welfare. Unlike agriculture programs at large state universities, which focus on faculty research and graduate student training, Dordt's ag program focuses on educating students like you. Faculty members care about each student in the program, and will give you the attention you need to do well in the college environment. Over the years, the Agriculture Department has developed mutually beneficial relationships with other colleges and universities. We offer an agriculture education degree in conjunction with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and have conducted cooperative educational and research projects with Iowa State University, Iowa State Extension, the University of Minnesota, South Dakota State University, and several other institutions. These relationships have benefited our students by enabling them to interact with researchers and faculty members from other schools, and have opened doors for them after graduation as well. Another unique aspect of the agriculture program at Dordt College is the wide geographical area that we serve. Our students come from every region of the U.S. and most of the Canadian provinces. This diversity challenges faculty members to maintain a working understanding of agricultural systems throughout North America. It also results in significant opportunities for students to learn from their classmates. View more details on Dordt College .
