The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association and by the United States Department of Education and approved by the California State Board of Dental Examiners. To be eligible for enrollment into the dental hygiene program applicants must complete the specified prerequisite courses prior to submitting an application. All science prerequisite courses must be taken within the last five years. To earn a certificate of achievement, students must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a "C" grade or better. Dental hygiene required program courses are only available in the day. However, required general education courses are available in the day or evening.
