All of these conditions necessitate working closely with a transfer counselor in the Career and Counseling Center to ensure a seamless transfer process to a four-year institution. Upon successful completion of this curriculum, students should be able to: Comprehend the practical aspects of education, including governance, politics, funding, law, psychology, and philosophical and social effects. Understand the diversity of students and student needs (educational, social, cultural, behavioral, academic) and the responsibility of a classroom teacher to meet these needs. Develop the ability to evaluate, analyze, and synthesize ideas from a variety of sources and formulate a preventative model of classroom management. Identify various elements, methods, and resources of effective teaching and learning and utilize them in planning instruction. Understand the role that assessment plays in instruction. Evaluate appropriate resources to plan instruction based on students' needs.
