Medical Assistant from DCI Career Institute is a Campus Certificate Health Aide degree that prepares you for a Healthcare career. In DCI's state-of-the-art medical lab, students in the MA program will obtain specialized skills in clinical procedures such as CPR/First Aid, venipuncture, injections, measuring and recording vital signs, electrocardiogram, spirometry, audiometry, rapid Strep testing, HCG testing, hematocrit, hemoglobin, autoclaving, urinalysis, gram and wright stain, proper microscope use, fecal occult blood and other basic laboratory testing. In only 8 months you will acquire the knowledge and skill base that will assist you in becoming First Aid and CPR certified. Upon completion of the program MA graduates are qualified to take computerized certification exams with either NCCT or AMT (available here at DCI). Upon passing the NCCT testing our graduates will hold the title of National Certified Medical Assistant . Upon passing the AMT certification our graduates will hold the title of Registered Medical Assistant.
