Religion & Philosophy from Davis & Elkins College is a Campus Bachelor Philosophy degree that prepares you for a Liberal Arts career. The religion and philosophy major offers two options for the interested student as well as an array of courses in both disciplines. Courses in religion are designed (1) to introduce the student to basic religious concepts, problems and terminology, (2) to help the student gain an accurate knowledge of and appreciation for the Bible, (3) to introduce the student to major developments in the Western religious tradition, both historical and contemporary, (4) to afford opportunity to examine non-Western religious traditions and (5) to explore the relationship of religion to other aspects of human behavior.
