Completion of the entire Pre-pharmacy program is required for admission to a Doctor of Pharmacy program. Completion of the pre-pharmacy program typically takes two years of study. After successful completion of the pre-pharmacy program students must apply and be accepted to a Pharm.D. program to continue their studies for an additional four years, for a minimum of six years of college. The two years of study at the pre-pharmacy level (approximately 60 semester hours) may include courses such as; General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, General Biology or Zoology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Physics, Calculus, English Composition, Speech, Humanities Electives, Economics, Social/Behavioral Sciences Electives, and other electives.
