To develop a core understanding of the motivations and mechanics of those who would attack America and how to best combat these threats, the degree offers concentrated studies in: Domestic and International Terrorism Threat Assessment Principles of Conflict and Terror Risk and Crisis Management Infrastructure Protection Disaster Response Emergency and Recovery Planning Three Degree Concentrations Students may declare an Aviation Security, Computer Security, or a Self-Designed Concentration to pursue their personal and professional goals. Aviation Security Concentration The Aviation Security concentration introduces students to strategies for countering terrorist threats in aviation and transportation security. Computer Security Concentration The Computer Security concentration focuses on the detection and prevention of threats to information technology with an emphasis on how the Internet is used by cyber criminals and terrorist organizations.
