The Aviation Flight Operations program provides a solid educational foundation with professional pilot training and flexibility for additional study in aviation management or other fields. It is designed to prepare students for employment as professional pilots and for leadership roles in a variety of flight operations settings. The Daniel Webster College Professional Pilot Education Course consists of a sequence of required flight practicums, correlated with associated classroom courses. Each course is based upon mastery of critical flying skills, aeronautical knowledge, and the development and seasoning of pilot judgment through progressively more challenging "Line-Oriented Flight Training (LOFT)" tasks and missions, conducted in a mix of uniquely capable instructional aircraft and flight simulators. All training paths will prepare students for the FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with Instrument Rating with options to proceed with the Multi-engine rating courses and/or training for the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate. Many students who culminate with their CFI seek employment with DWC as a flight instructor after graduation. You'll complete your private pilot certificate your very first year. You'll focus on flight dynamics and human factors of flight, such as pilot judgment, effective crew interaction and cockpit resource management You'll develop exceptional professional judgment and a strong commitment to safety. Flying four different types of aircraft you'll develop your skills flying under both Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) in the Northeast one of the mose diverse flight environments in the world You'll log many hours of night flying, cross-country flying, unpowered flight and training in our state-of-the-art simulators, under the watchful eyes of DWC's talented Flight Instructors.
