The Dana Hall of Science features a Science Learning Center, a place for students to use scientific software in an environment that promotes discussion and learning. The center provides a space with easy access to computers, faculty members, and mentors. While pursuing a chemistry degree at Dana, you will have access to a wide variety of modern instrumentation. At Dana, you won't just get to look at this equipment?you will be using it to explore the chemical world. Your professors at Dana will encourage you to expand your horizons through job-shadowing, internships and research fellowships. Just in the past two years, Dana science majors have participated in pre-med workshops, veterinary internships, pharmaceutical company internships, worked as pharmacy technicians, obtained coveted REU research fellowships, conducted research at UNMC, and much more. Dana provides a challenging curriculum which results in enviable graduate school and job placement success rates (96 percent among graduates the last five years). Students are encouraged to participate in our science outreach activities sponsored by the Dana College Science Club.
