Program Description Our program prepares students to enter the massage field as entry-level therapists. They perform therapeutic massage techniques for general wellness, stress management, and preventive maintenance. Training covers learning and perfecting body mechanics and body awareness, general massage techniques, joint range of motion, ethics, and Florida law. A major component of the massage program requires students to master anatomy, medical terminology, pathology, and physiology. Students learn to assess clients using a health history form, dialogue and visual observation. Students also learn to demonstrate basic business and marketing skills, professionalism and hydrotherapy treatment. Incorportated in the program is a massage clinical in which 'clients' come in for a massage.
