In the baccalaureate degree program, students have the option of selecting one of the following areas of concentration: alcohol and substance abuse treatment, child welfare and family services, human services for the older adult, and human services for disabled and physically challenged persons. Bachelor of Science in Human Services The total number of credits required for completing the bachelor of science degree is 120: 31credits in the major area, 23 credits in the core area and six credits in the required electives area. Of the 31 credits in the major course area, eight are those of the Professional Internship requiring 200 hours a semester for two semesters.
