International Studies from CUNY City College is a Campus Master International studies degree that prepares you for a Science career. Career Opportunities Graduates of the International Studies Program have many career choices: their training and work experience equip them for employment in international service and business organizations, the diplomatic service, research institutes as well as careers in journalism and teaching. The more than one hundred graduates since 1990 now have jobs in the communications industry, Non-Governmental Organizations and the United Nations, while a majority of them are in post-graduate programs. Among the options for Master's level post-graduate study that IS graduates have availed themselves of are, CCNY's Master's Program in International Relations, Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, the Monterey Institute of International Studies , the University of Pennsylvania's Department of History. International Studies graduates are also enrolled in Ph.D. programs in Conflict Resolution, Law and Diplomacy, and International Development in such universities as the University of Wisconsin, Tufts University, the University of Denver and the University of Pittsburgh. Others have enrolled in law school. Double majors in Communications and International Studies give aspiring journalists an advantage in their field.
