Nursing from Covenant School of Nursing and Allied Health is a Campus Certificate Registered Nurse degree that prepares you for a Nursing career. When you're training to become a nurse , there's simply no substitute for hands-on experience. At Covenant School of Nursing (CSON), you'll not only learn in the classroom?you'll participate in skill-oriented labs and work in clinical situations at nearly 20 different health care facilities in the Lubbock area. In fact, you'll begin working directly with patients early in your training and spend two or more days each week in clinical settings for the entire two-year program. Our program is a full-time, 76-week hospital-based diploma program that follows the completion of nine specific prerequisite courses at an accredited college or university of your choice. Guided by Master's prepared nursing faculty, students who successfully complete our program are eligible for licensure as a registered nurse (RN). An Advanced Credit program is also offered to licensed vocational nurses (LVN) and licensed practical nurses (LPN) for completion of their registered nursing education. To graduate from Covenant School of Nursing, students must be able to fully attend and successfully complete all classroom, lab and clinical components of each required nursing course. They must also sit for the National Council Licensure Examination-RN (NCLEX-RN) licensing exam. Graduates of CSON are also encouraged to complete higher levels of education by receiving their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) and their Masters (MSN).
