The BS in Geology curriculum qualifies graduates to meet the introductory requirements for licensing with the Georgia Board of Registration for Professional Geologists. The BS in Geology requires satisfactory completion of courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, as well as in geology. These provide a broad foundation in the field and permit flexibility for evolving and changing student interests. The diverse experience of the faculty allows a range of upper-level elective courses to be offered that introduce students to various sub-fields within the geological sciences and expand their college experience.
