The Dietetic Internship Program (DI) provides supervised practice in dietetics to individuals who have a baccalaureate degree and who have completed the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) requirements of the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association. After completing the program, interns receive a verification statement of program completion and are eligible to take the national examination to become a Registered Dietitian (RD). The program provides a choice of two concentration areas: Nutrition Education and Counseling (NEC) and Food and Nutrition Business and Communications (FNBC).
