Faculty research in these areas spans the fields of molecular, cellular, and developmental biology , drawing from diverse experimental systems, including several medically relevant human pathogens. Research projects may focus on the ultrastructure of cells and organisms as well as the study of developmental regulation, signal transduction, structure and function of the cytoskeleton, cellcell, cellmatrix and hostparasite interactions, vesicle trafficking, or lipid and membrane function.
