Science and Management from Claremont McKenna College is a Campus Bachelor Management and Innovation degree that prepares you for a Business career. The major requires twenty courses in addition to the college's general education requirements. Majors complete a core program together with one of four sequences. All students complete a Core Program and one of four sequences: Core Program (11 courses) 1. Chemistry 14-15, Basic Principles of Chemistry OR Chemistry 29, Advanced General Chemistry 2. Physics 33-34, General Physics (for Physics or Chemistry track) OR 30-31, Principles of Physics (for others) 3. Mathematics 30, Calculus I 4. Computer Science 50, Introduction to Programming and Computer Tools 5. PITZER and SCRIPPS Students take Econ 51 AND Econ 52. CMC students take Econ 50. 6. Economics 86, Introductory Accounting 7. Intermediate Microeconomics, Economics 101 at CMC/Scripps, Econ 160 at Pitzer 8. Intermediate Macroeconomics, Economics 102 at CMC/Scripps, Econ 161 at Pitzer 9. Economics 151, Design of Cost Management Systems 10. Internship or Practicum (In consultation with Science and Management Advisor) 11. Organizational Psychology, Psych 37 at CMC, OR Psych 135, Organizational Behavior at PItzer (CMC students should take Psych 37 which also fulfills GE requirements). 12. Biology OR Chemistry OR Physics 190L or 191 or 188L-190L. In general, a one-semester thesis (191) is an extensive library research thesis; (190L) is a one-semester experimental thesis; and a two-semester thesis (188L and 190L) is a laboratory or field research project.
