Aesthetics from Chattanooga State Technical Community College is a Campus Certificate Esthetician degree that prepares you for a Vocational Programs career. The Aesthetics program is offered through the Tennessee Technological Center at the East gate Town Center for students interested in pursuing a career in the personal beauty industry. This two semester program will provide students with the necessary skills in preparation to take the State Board of Cosmetology's theory and practical Aesthetic examination. Students will develop competencies in personal and salon safety rules and regulations, sanitation and sterilization standards, and the use of equipment and implements used in the salon. In addition, students will obtain techniques in skin cleansing; such as facials, full-body treatments, head and neck massages and make-up applications. Students will also be trained in hair removal through waxing and laser treatments. Students will be able to complete the 750 hours of instruction required to be licensed in Tennessee.
