Heavy Duty Truck Driver from Charles A. Jones Skills and Business Education Center is a Campus Certificate Land Transport degree that prepares you for a Transportation career. Our award-winning Heavy Duty Commercial Truck Driving Program is a comprehensive 18-week course. Students gain experience behind the wheel delivering cargo for special projects and hauling cargo used in public service throughout the Sacramento community. Prerequisite: Must have a valid class ?C? license and pass drug screening prior to start of class. Student must also pass a physical exam. Requirements: Possess a Valid California Drivers License (Class "C") Have Experience Driving a Standard Transmission Vehicle Produce a Clean Drug Screening Pass a Physical Examination Hands-On Training Students begin their instruction in the classroom before moving on to hands-on operation of tractor trailers, bobtails and doubles. Students will obtain their California Class "A" license. In addition, they will operate commercial equipment under actual job conditions.
